I hadn’t realized that June (or maybe May?) will be the 35th anniversary of the newsletter that became Film Score Monthly.
I was in high school at the time and really just wanted to find pen pals and friends who loved film music the way I did.
I have all my files from the era—I have carefully migrated data from computer to computer over the decades—and above is a snapshot of what was my soundtrack collection at the time. Or maybe just some of it?
Unfortunately, when Apple switched chips for their Mac line at some point, it made it difficult to open these files. They will open but as text only, the formatting is scrambled.
