CDs in Stock Part 29

We have a copy of Nightcrawler by James Newton Howard on Lakeshore—such a good movie of recent vintage! $35

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors by Angelo Badalamenti comes from the early days of Varèse Sarabande—their old VCD 47200 series. We have one copy, $35.

Here’s a sought-after title that I’m surprised we’ve had for the past several weeks: North and South, the 4CD set from Varèse Sarabande of the Bill Conti Civil War miniseries score. It usually flies out of here. We’re asking $85; it’s $199 right now on eBay! We also have a copy of the highlights CD, $45.

Northwest Passage is a 3CD set rare M-G-M westerns scores that we did at FSM; volume two in that series, actually. We have two copies, $25.

Not With My Wife, You Don’t! Vol. 2 is the FSM CD we did of the Johnny Williams comedy score, the original soundtrack performance, $18. It features the fantastic song with Johnny Mercer lyrics, “Big Beautiful Ball.” This is NOT the original soundtrack performance but I love that these folks did it:

We have the original Masters Film Music release of Obsession by Bernard Herrmann, $12. I love holding these vintage releases in my hand—really takes you back! We also have the Tadlow re-recording of this, $18, and the Music Box 2CD set, $45.

I wrote many columns ago about my adoration for Claus Ogerman. Here’s another rare disc of his, on Bay Cities, Symphonic Dances/Some Times (ballet), $35.

Old Boyfriends is a terrific David Shire score to the obscure Talia Shire film. We have the Intrada CD, $25.

We have both Omega Man editions that we did at FSM, the first one, $35, and then the “2.0” edition, $15. Some differences to the tracks and mix.

We have the FSM CD of On Dangerous Ground, one of Herrmann’s best. Warning, the sound quality is compromised due to the acetate source. But I was really proud of this one, $30.

We have what looks like a private pressing of One Potato, Two Potato by Gerald Fried, $25.

Finally, today, we have three copies of The Orville on La-La Land Records, season one, $18, Seth MacFarlane’s love letter to Star Trek—for which he got ginormous orchestras for Bruce Broughton, Joel McNeely and John Debney.

Oh, and here it is with Broughton conducting the orchestra at one of Seth’s insane parties:

Back tomorrow—thanks!
