There is a thread at the FSM board discussing the early days of my teenage newsletter that became Film Score Monthly. As a reminder, all those early issues are available for free at our site.
It is hard to believe it will soon be 35 years since that time. I have a lot of memories, a lot of them good, a lot of them complicated by other things in my life at the time.
Let’s just say high school was not so much fun—so much so I had much more interest in making a newsletter about movie soundtracks!
Oh man, do those old newsletters bring back memories! I actually had an international pen-pal for nearly ten years thanks to that "silly little" newsletter!
