Intrada has announced an expanded reissue of James Horner’s Something Wicked This Way Comes, a terrific early score from the master. Yay!
The FSM board discussion led me to this YouTube video of Horner conducting the main title at Disney all those years ago—with Ray Bradbury watching, and Shawn Murphy engineering. Amazing that this exists!
I am pretty sure this is an excerpt from a larger documentary about the making of the film; it is quite well produced. Notice James’ accent was wholly American at the time.
Word is the Disney invited crew members out to watch the director's cut recently. Signs seem favorable to possibly seeing a nice release with the director's cut and possibly this documentary.
