I don’t write a lot about politics and current events here in order to avoid generating political arguments. (I am basically a mainstream liberal Democrat but have readers of all political stripes, that I like it that way.)
Suffice it to say there’s been crazy news the past several weeks, to an unpredented degree, and it is very interesting.
One of my favorite writers is Jonathan Chait at New York Magazine. And his new column goes into the recent history of Democratic politics in a way I found very insightful.
