September 3 CD Sale

UPDATE 10:53AM: The site seems to be overloaded, so sorry! Be patient, it will clear up. We are too successful! We’ll have to buy more memory.

The fsmcds.com store is now live with our new sale—2,500 new items!

Here is the spreadsheet of the inventory, which can be easier to browse. Make your notes on this, then head over to the store to order.

Info from yesterday’s column:

So this isn’t our biggest sale but it may be the most eclectic. In addition to the usual copies of rare limited edition CDs (Intrada, Quartet, La-La Land, Kritzerland, Varèse CD Club), and another solid batch of Academy Award FYC (“For Your Consideration”) CDs, we have a bunch of discs that came to us in damaged condition. So instead of just chucking them, we’ve marked them down to only a few bucks, or in many cases just $1. They’re a great way to keep your hands on a super pricey title, if you don’t mind some water damage or whatever—or maybe find yourself a back-up copy of a disc?

We also have a new assortment of DVDs and Blu-Rays—plus film music books, some of them quite hard to find.

While we don’t actively seek out CDs of other genres (pop, classical, jazz), when they come in as part of an estate, we figure we might as well list them and see if there are any takers. So we have quite a few of these again, at super-cheap prices.

It’s also possible this may be the last big sale for a while. We’re happy to sell collections and portions therefore—contact me if you’re interested—but it’s rather unpredictable what will come in, and when.

Oh, and—as I think I wrote before—we solved that confounding bug where people were losing items from their shopping carts. The culprit was the “quick buy” button, which was bypassing the carts. We’ve removed it. Your carts will hold your items exclusively for you for six hours.

Thanks everybody!
