We have a whiteboard on the fridge where we keep track of family schedules. One year my wife drew a turkey to represent Thanksgiving. But she is, by her own admission, an atrocious artist, and drew it with two wings and four legs. When we pointed this anatomical error, she responded by adding a whole bunch more legs—and thus the legend of the turkeypede was born. It graces our board every Thanksgiving.
