The Sale Continues

Welcome to the folks visiting here from the La-La Land email blast—and congrats to my friends at La-La Land for their 3CD of Gladiator, wow! And this is on top of John Williams’ seminal The Reivers only a few weeks ago. Not to mention the recent James Bond releases.

I stopped producing titles on the FSM label over a decade ago because I was worn out and just couldn’t face any more licensing and production challenges. So I am so impressed with my counterparts at La-La Land (and Intrada, Quartet, et al.) for sticking with it and seeing that these gems are released. Bravo!

Here at FSMCDs we are selling the personal CD collection of our late friend, Douglass Fake of Intrada. It’s been a very complicated experience, emotionally, organizing and listing his collection, given that I knew him since I was a teenager, and he was always so generous and helpful.

Of this writing Doug’s collection has been on sale for a week and over half of it has sold—but there are still thousands of amazing titles available. Morricone fans in particular will be amazed at the depth and breadth of what Doug was able to collect of the Maestro.

Per custom, we offer a spreadsheet of the current inventory, which is easier to search and sort than the actual website. However, the spreadsheet does not update as items sell (I have to post a new one every day). So if you can’t find something on FSMCDs after seeing it on the spreadsheet, it’s because it has sold.

It’s an imperfect system but it’s what we have, and it’s working well enough to get thousands of great CDs at bargain prices to the people who will treasure them as I do, and as Doug did—you!
